I've stayed outta this fray as I probably don't have anything positive to contribute. But, I think ScottT is on the money here... and the reasons I feel this way are based mostly on my experience, knowledge and logical conclusions of a somewhat rational person, (in that any of us are). Any of which ...

I don't have a pic of just the holster, but generally, when hunting I wear an old Bianchi belt and a Bill French cross-draw for the SAA he made for my wife. It sits a little lower than normal on the belt, with the hammer about level with the top of the belt. It is raked at about 35º degrees from ve...

Plenty of vintage 1894 Winchesters were made in just such a configuration, then standardization and the Model 64 was made to meet the demand; then a dry spell. Then in '71 came the NRA Centennial commemorative, which gave way to the Model 64A and another dry spell; interspersed with a couple of simi...

Yep, I shoulda specified the Treso. My ASM 1851 uses the same 12-24 nipple as my Colts, but most ASMs use a 5mm thread. But, according to VTI the Walker & Dragoons take the same nipple. Get you a metric thread pitch guage, it'll tell for certain.

Thanks all for the help, I made a tool out of a metric 6 side socket (I used 5.5mm, should have used 5mm though) and got all the nipples out easily. The one that was clogged I tried to drill back out but that does not look like it will work, and my smith told me he has nipples that may fit, but app...

Having worked personnel/background investigations for an SO, it ain't a big deal. SOP is usually you fill out an application, and a pre-poly questionaire. During to polygraph, you'll be asked questions 'bout your answers on those two forms. Don't lie on any of them, no problem. They aren't trying to...
