SASS on TV

Post by Griff »

I just received an email from one of the "Wild Bunch" of SASS:

Hi everyone - this Friday the evening news with Katie Couric will be featuring a story on SASS. They were just here at Founders Ranch filming. Please watch it if you can - Tex and Cat Ballou

Since that's all the details I have, I hope it comes across well. I don't give the news very much credit, but I have been surprised at their even-handedness from time to time. Hoping that's the case here.

I figure she did more damage than her sister who was a politician here in VA. I'm not "fond" of her either. BTW, lest anyone make any crass remarks without knowing, her sister died of cancer 3-4 years ago.

I am always leery of any MSM coverage of anything to do with firearms. I am especially leery of that ditz commenting on one of the firearms sports. What are the chances CBS/Couric can get through the entire segment without an anti-gun comment?

Kim,

I don't think so; I think it took longest to go from 20,000 to 50,000, and it's accelerated after that.

jac,

Thanks, I think it sruck just the right balance of serious game & levity. Like golf, for the vast mjority of us, it's a blend of entertainment and competition.

They actually re-ran it this morning as part of "CBS Sunday Morning." The segment could have been longer, but it was pretty positive, overall. Color me surprised.
