Politics - NY Senator Doing Gun Poll

Post by Griff »

See: Firearm related VOTE

State Senator Volker (R)of New York is taking a poll on micro stamping semi-auto pistols. Below is the link to his web page...I urge all to visit this site and vote, tell your friends and give them the link; Our voices must be heard. So far the poll is heavily in favor of NOT micro stamping let's make it a real statement that cannot be ignored by the anti's. Thanks

Poll is at the bottom of this page.

Sen. Volker

This pole is all over the gun forums and so lop sided now that it's meaningless.

FWIW.. when you post link's to polls, don't hot link them. Just post the URL and tell people to copy and paste. Otherwise you're just showing them the results are skewed.

The fact that their website software is showing hotlinks from Leverguns.com, SigForum, Ar15.com... those three I know for a fact. Lord knows how many other gun related sites it's made it to by now, and the "voters" are all flooding in from.

Volker is as close as we come to "pro gun" in Albany. He's not, really, but he's better than most of the ***'s in office.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Dear Senator,

Criminals will figure a way to buff those microstamps off in a heartbeat. In no way will it reduce crime.

From a fiscal point of view, can you even imagine the financial burden the added paperwork will levy upon our underpaid and overworked law enforcement and judicial system? And for something that's useless in reducing violent crime? Please do not support microstamping.

The microstamping technology is proprietary to just one parent company, and will serve only them and the stripping of our civil right to protect our families through high cost or unavailability.

Criminal violence is a terrible thing, and we all want to stop it. Taking firearms away from responsible citizens does not reduce crime. Ask yourself why, when Americans cross the border into D.C. they suddenly become irresponsible and violent. This must be the case if banning guns works to reduce crime. For the last 30 years during the gun ban there, violent crime has been higher than that of most other American cities.

Great Britain has a ban on guns, knives and has made it a crime to defend yourself in any way. If a criminal breaks into a man's home and begins raping his daughter, he will go to prison for defending her, or at the very least be financially broken by his legal defense. Great Britain's violent crime rate is several times that of our great country.

What is it about crossing England's border that makes us more violent? Nothing. Taking away our right of self defense simply leaves us as lambs for the slaughter by violent criminals who will use guns, knives, bats, ropes and whatever else they please to snuff us out with no more thought than that of the ciggarette butt they just threw in your yard.

It is irrational to think that reducing the right to self defense will stop evil people from doing evil.

Thanks for your time.

John Tycer Lewis
Kind regards,
Tycer
