POLITICS - Obama and Jeremiah Wright fighting

Post by piller »

Just saw on TV that the Driveby Media had video of Barak Obama verbally striking back at his pastor, Jeremiah Wright. Obama looks like a man determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Thank GOD. Do we need someone like him as President?

I can't believe that the media is still going on and on about his Pastor. I would hate to have people think that everything the Leader of my Church says is exactly what I think and that I follow his every word blindly.

SW41mag, thanks for posting that. I don't know much about politics, and have decided to keep my opinions to myself for the most part. But I think we need to look at the big picture here. On the Democratic side, I would prefer Obama to Clinton. I prefer McCain to either of those two at this point in time. Certainly not much to choose from. Again, thank you for posting that idea.

I don't think people are afraid that Obama blindly follows his pastor. I think that the fact that he went to church there leads us to beleive the "Birsd of a feather" theory. That's what people are worried about. You can take my preacher in for questioning(and on that note many other local ones), to see what he believes and follows and you'd have very similar outline as my own.

Wright has a distubingly wrong view of America( the greatest country on the planet) and is in no way even close to the view I would like any elected offical to have let alone the Commander and Cheif.

I guess I'm the only one who has ever got up in the middle of a sermon. Years ago some priest went off on guns. I sat through about a minute of it, then got up, and left. People are entitled to their own opinions, no matter how delusional, but I don't have to listen to their garbage. My wife was mortified. I didn't go back, and we argued for a long time because I wanted to cut off our tithe.

Bottom line is Obama joined that church to establish his "street creds", since he was raised in essentially a white, semi-priviledged community. He was thinking about politics back then and knew he had to get around that part of his background to appeal to his targeted voting block. He was a member of the church for 20 years. He may have rarely gone, so who knows, he might not have heard Wright's venom. He probably did, and it helped him at that stage in his political career. Now it is hurting him, and I think they staged this just so he could now publicly distance himself from Wright. I also think Wright probably doesn't want to see Obama win. A black man becoming President hurts the hate crowd - Wright, Jackson, Sharpton, et. al. - and they make a great living off white guilt.

Obama is not ready for prime time. He is an avowed leftist, and will hurt the country. It is shaping up more and more like another 4 years of "Jimmy Carter II" - under either Obama or Hillary - then hopefully we will get a true conservative in the mold of Reagan.

I think the tactic of denying hussein the nomination is stupid. I think we should be doing everything humanly possible to aid hussein in defeating clinton. because clinton could beat mccain, and hussein cannot.

after all, will Americans really put someone that is
half-foreign
half-arab
half-muslim
and
half-black
in the white house? I don't think so.

I'm not saying that mccain is great or even good or even desirable, but clinton and/or hussein are abominations and should be voted off the planet.

I wish the machinery had left the cat fights until after the demo convention to swat 'em down.

'nother day in the hood indeed...

No, but the ignorant, uneducated hoodists and leftists will.

you think they will out-vote the rest of America? I don't think so. There aren't enough of them, yet, to overpower the aroused block of straight people who will vote in a hussein/mccain election.

this is an historic opportunity to destroy that coalition, but not if it's a ho-hum election between clinton and mccain. the yawn-factor will make it a contest of weaker voter apathy wins.

and clintons have already permanently damaged America's security. clinton2 wants to take things away from you and make you more vulnerable to the jihadis. putting her in office would be a catastrophe of Biblical proportions.

I wish NEWT G. was running for president. Turns out, he his formulating a new agenda, a second contract with america, with thought out solutions to the ailments that we all are affected by. I would support him.

As for the Dems, I despise Hillary. I really worry about Obama. I think neither is capable of the office.

Yes I do. I think there are enough of them and they are growing more numerous daily. Combine the jihadist, the hoodists, the leftists, the media elites, the academia, the socialists, the populists, the ignorant, the lazy, the illegals and the disaffected (whatever that is) turds, the PETAists, the EarthFirsters, the Europhiles, the communists, the GlobalWarmists, the UNists and so on, they will outnumber us.

A change is coming, and it ain't good.

Clinton is a turd, this chump is a turd with enough polish to make himself shine to the aforementioned "voters".

I pray I'm wrong. I want to be wrong.

I might, someday. I hope it doesn't come to that, but I know how to make it work. It's kind of like living off the land, only there isn't any...

I think the both of them are turds but that won't stop the morons from electing either of them.

It truely amazes me what these people I work with will blame on Bush. He's made some mistakes, but all of this countries woes are not his fault.

These are good hardworking people and believe EVERYTHING Clinton News Network blurts out. Very sad.

The stuff of Obama gets deeper every day. The American Hunter magazine (NRA) has an article on him as a state senator and his votes on gun ownership and self protection.

I really enjoy listening to him claim "How can I be an eletist with the background I came from?" Lets see, home value, 1.2 mil, earnings last year alone 4 mil, a state senator before, now a US Senator,I guess all that power and money has NEVER made anyone feel eletist.(sp), just ask Teddy, your mentor.

What a crock!

If America wants a black man to be president, I have zero issues with that, but make it Colin Powell, a truely honorable man.

Too bad he didn't want to run in this race, but really can't say I blame him.

Clinton and Osama could both be composted into useful fertilizer. That's the best thing that could be done with them.

It really is too bad that Colin Powell isn't running. I think he's a far better choice than McCain, and he would have no problem beating Billary or Osama.

Reminds me of the old saying "it has to get worse before it can get better".

I think our country is on that set of tracks, no one appreciates what we have
for the most part so we allow govt to get larger in hopes they will make
everything "peachy-keen". I ain't happening and never will.

I'm just scared about how bad it has to get before folks think straight.

Rev. Wright? Another race baiter building a 10 million dollar house. LMAO

Obama? Just another lefty who thinks BIG govt will help.

Oh Puleeeeeze

Powel is one of America's enemies. He is a State Department anti-American policy activist. He's in the Kerry camp of America should tuck her tail between her legs and submit to the UN. He took a trip to meet with palestine exactly when Bush was affirming Israel's right to defend herself from her mortal enemies.

Powel is responsible for the "weapons of mass destruction" fiasco at the UN that the left has criminally distorted the truth about America's mideast intervention with. Powel was a good general in his time and place. That does not make him a good policy maker. He is more akin to carter than to reagan. The last thing Americans need is more anti-American europeanist pansy policies. State Department opposition to Amercian greatness should be tried for treason, not promoted to administration.

America needs leadership that unashamedly upholds and promotes America's greatness and ignores the whinocrats.
