Brought home the bacon & a medal today...........

Post by jdad »

Today was the pistol caliber half, of the Oregon Territorial Championships.
I shot much better today or everyone else shot a whole lot worse. :D

Marlin 1894CL 32-20, 80 shot match, 1st match of 40 was for club championship, and the combined aggregate of the 2nd 40 shot match, with the 1st, was for the Oregon Territorial Championship.

I won 2nd, in the club championship, so I got a pound of bacon, a dozen eggs, and a 2 pound brick of cheese.

I was the winner in the AA/AAA group and 2nd overall, so I got a nice gold medal.

Outstanding! and Congratulations!

I watched match last month and I'm going to give it a try next weekend. It looks challenging and like a lot of fun.

I have some trophies,
it feels really good when it was a hard, close, match, against good shooters; when everybody is challenged.
Enjoy the bacon, eggs,& cheese
I miss those days at the Ysletta Gun Club, when that is what we shot for!

I hate to admit this, but I stopped practicing around the start of the year and my scores have improved. My sight settings are all bottom of the belly holds, so it's just a matter of remembering my "breathe and squeeze" pattern.

I have good days and not so good days, but I still have fun.

As one who's pretty much based his life off of the desire for two things......shooting firearms and eating bacon/bacon derived dishes, good going! You have arrived Sir.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

There ya go, the little 32/20 can bring home the bacon!
Actually that match was probably harder than going and getting some critter for breakfast!
Well done.

Glad to see the 32-20 earning its keep!

Nate, you appear to have plenty of influence with EMF. Why don't you suggest to them that they start offering 32-20 as part of their M92 line. They used to offer the Hartford revolver in that caliber.
