I like it. It's symbols from an Alaskan tribe. They decorated their canoe paddles, houses, and furniture the same way. I can see how it would fit perfectly in some households. Williams makes an FP for the Marlin 1894 that doesn't overhang the receiver like Chuck's does. It fits just right and works great. I don't have a picture handy...

I don't know about Ubertis. I saw a '73 the other day and the bore was off-center in the octagonal barrel. That's funny right there, I don't care who you are. But funny as it is, I wouldn't touch it even at the 850 offer price.

I don't think my 16" Win 1894 Ranger Compact gives up anything in the accuracy department, and it is definately handier than my guide gun, and much handier than the 1892 .45 Colt with the 20" barrel. I don't think pistol cartridges gain a lot with barrels that are a lot longer than 16"...

I think you can use a .22 to benchmark the chrono. It will tell you when the battery is low and it's bleeding off speed. I think.

I'm thinking of tightening the barrel on that redhawk about a 16th of a turn to see if I can shoot it any better that way. ! LOL

180 yards is not a good starting distance for me with that gun. I should have moved up on it a couple of feet.
