I built a T/C Hawken, .54 from one of their kits many years ago. Sold it off a few months later for a Uberti built copy of a J&S Hawken in .53 cal. The kit only re,quired metal & wood finish, and I did that poorly. The Uberti with its longer barrel & 1:66 twist is a much better RB shoote...

I load BP in my .45 Colts on the Dillon 550B, load 12 gauge on the MEC 600 Jr, and load my .45-70 & .40-90SBN on the RCBS Jr.II. Sometimes I run them thru the RCBS powder measure, other times I dump powder from the can into a volume measure, then drop into the case. Been doing so since about 198...

Well, it seems I'm stuck in Otay Mesa overnite. As I recall, those Turkeys are the hardest to hit next to the Chickens. Lots of steel, but very narrow. If the windage ain't right, they're just plain EASY to miss! :lol: Score of 30, 1st time out... I'd say that's just plain ole GOOD! :lol:
