...and then there were four (including this one! )
Well, the first of two "non-traditional" leveractions. Oh, we could debate the point forever on this - and have through several threads on the new and old forums. But to me, this is a lever-action, albeit not what one first thinks of when the term is used.
The rifle is an Armi Sport reproduction of the “Spencer 1865", imported by Taylor's. It is in .44 Russian, and you've seen me post a range report on this one before. This is also the one I made the "Blakeslee Box" for (and, had I thought of it, would have added it to the picture! )
very nice. I love the cap and ball pistols. The spencers are very kewl. Saw some beautiful ones at Gettysburg yesterday. The 1860's were in high number too. Wow, so many guns and so little time. I really appreciate your posts and your fine collection.

I always think it is amazing these style pistols didn't blow apart when you look at the fragile seeming connection holding the barrel on...! They are a blast to shoot, though.
Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws "first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.
Ysabel, I'm jealous of you and all your combos. I have 4 rifles and 3 handguns! That's it! But this is a very nice pair. Hope we get to shoot your "old world" and my "old world" guns together someday.
