Looks like a keeper, would try to talk you out of it if it were a 16ga. Have an old Parker Trojan in 16ga, built circa 1919 (back when Americans still could build things and took pride in work) Short chambers, but I will tell you, love it. I haven't loaded for the 32 S&W Long, but had Reed's ammo load me some up a while back when ammo was scarce. 100gr wad cutters.

THey made a 24" barreled, camo, turkey version. Wanted to buy one, but with no barrel selection, kind of takes the advantage out of it. Still, Would like to try one in the duck/goose blind.
They are bit cheaper by about 40k than the European version three barrel.

I bought a colt 22/22mag. Grew up shooting ruger single six, the colt shoots the mag real well, better than the ruger, but not so much with 22 LR.
I don't think you could really go wrong with the bearcat or single six.

I drew Nebraska Antelope permit for Sandhills. Sounds like a job for the Marlin 338 XLR. Will have to sight in with the FTX rounds. Considerable difference in impact between the Rem 250's and the Hornady. I think the FTX will work fine on antelope size game/distance.

I have used the Marlin 1894 in .357. I used the Federal 180gr hollow point bullet.
Works great under 75 yards. Bullet will mushroom perfectly and bullet will exit if close enough (on behind shoulder shots) or will be found just under the hide on opposite side.
