IIRC the cup depth on Winchesters was shallower than some other and they tended to seat deeper into the pocket as a result which can cause issues. I do not know if its still an issue tho

Years ago, during my first year as a LEO I got called to a residence where an elderly couple said their home had been broken into and their dog was missing. While 9mm is not ideal, my wife has a CZ Scorpion 16" rifle and using Underwood and Buffalo Bore +P ammo, it really comes alive. It performs as well as a 16" 357 mag levergun as far as penetration and projectile performance. It hardly recoils at all as well. A 147 grain xtp will expand to ...

My only complaint with Miroku is the chambers. Every single one I have ever shot in a variety of different calibers had very short chambers. They build them for one specific bullet profile and length so that nothing else works. My 45 colt, 45-70 and 357 all required touch up with a finishing reamer ...

I personally think the barrel length of 18" was a bad decision. 16 should be the max for legal reasons but you are not gaining anything after 12". I have tried a bunch of 9mm carbines over the years and you can actually lose velocity in longer barrels

There is very little I cannot accomplish (for me) with my Winchester 1892 in 45 colt, with the exception of long range of course.

Home/Property Defense- check
Plinking- check
Saddle Gun- check
Long Range- well, I will give it a whirl
