Re: am I exaggerating 44 mag recoil

I added a recoil pad for my wife on her Win 92 44 mag. She says it kicks harder than her 30-30. Oddly, she doesnt complain about 45 colt +P loads that are the same velocity

Re: Well, here she is

So, here are the specifics: Finish is Black Gunkote over stainless so should be impervious to most things. Essentially everything inside the gun was reworked, from factory mis-sized throating to the trigger. The DA trigger pull is amazing and is so smooth it almost feels like a slightly heavy single...

My wife and I keep "get home" bags in our cars for everyday life. There are enough food (meal bars), medical supplies, fire starter, waterproof poncho and a Life straw to last 3 days. For longer travel we have REAL bug out bags which contain substantially more gear.

I made this spear for a Grizzly hunt that got quashed 2 years ago by Covid. Blade is made from 5160, 14" sharpened edge, 8" tang and 5" guard. The shaft is hickory. I also wrapped it with fiber glass and epoxy, over 6 brass pins. Its shaving sharp.
