I talked with John Taffin's wife last night.

Post by JimT »

I heard from Mrs. Dot that the doctors have given John a day or two left to live. I sure will miss him but do find comfort in knowing he will be with the Lord soon.

Please keep his family in your prayers.

Would love some divine intervention,

but if not - there is comfort in knowing that he, Venturino and Murbach will be spinning the dueling trees in heaven

i'll keep him alive in my heart by continually searching for and modifying my standards on the "perfect packin' pistol"

Prayers sent for John, Dot and their family. I know it comes to all of us, but it's still sad to hear.

Nicely said, Doug. Feeling the same way.

John (Linebaugh) lives in Wyoming and I’m in Idaho, and there is nothing that walks among us we can’t handle with a 260-gr. hardcast bullet at 900 to 1,000 fps.
He and Linebaugh agreed on this, and it's a touchstone for me as to adequate cartridges. My notes have numerous quotes from his works. I'm sorry to hear he's leaving.
