Need Someone For Simple Stock Repair
I have a Marlin Levermatic. The post office cracked the stock at the forend alongside the barrel channel. Looks like it could be repaired by injecting a bit of adhesive and clamping. Crack in about 4 inches and isn't showing any space and it's not contaminated. The rifle is a shooter, not a collecta...

Re: Scope Mount For 348 Winchester - Just To Show It Can Be Done
Range work showed that the rifle likes 200 grain Hornadys at 2500 fps using R-19 powder. Groups were just a hair over 1 inch at 100 yards. Rifle may be capable of better than that, but I found the 2X scope may be a limiting factor. Shot just under 50 rounds and ther scope mount and scope held tight....

I and my sons used to use 189 grain Noslers in our 30-06s at max velocity, until we had 3 elk and a moose take killing shots at under 50 yards and then run as if they were just scared, and 2 were never to be seen again. Here is an excerpt of what I received: Barnes-X .348 caliber bullets are made of pure copper (99.9%), not gilding metal. This is the same copper that is used in our new TSX and TTSX bullets. We find that the pure copper gives a better operating window when compared to gilding metal. Hopefully in the...

The Garands as issud use a plug that has a gas relief valve. Your Thoughts About a 30 Carbine Lever Rifle
I have ben seriously thinking about a plinker bolt action in 30 carbine and feel that it would also be a nice youth training rifle.
It just occurred to me that a lever rifle in 30 carbine might be fun.
Any thoughts on whether it would be an easy conversion of an off-the-shelf rifle.
