PRICE CHECK - Win 94 Limited Edition #59 of 100 Amer West

Post by RANisbet »

I am considering the purchase of a WINCHESTER model 94, SN 5618XXX. This is an American West Commemorative and in As Issued Condition (Still has factory security seal and tag).
Wood is very nice, engraved and appointed nicely and comes with a presentation case.

I got a post elsewhere that indicated the subject rifle was worth upward of $3000 and another from a noted expert that said the value was same as a standard plain vanilla post 64 USRA.
Both can't be right, can they.

Depends on condition and who's buying. No box, any scuff marks and the normal price holds true, immaculate in an immaculate box with the right buyer and you might see $3000 (maybe). The trouble is that fellas who chuck the box, hunt the gun (and roughly at that) and leave it uncleaned or protected in their kids hockey locker think it is worth the same as the fine condition NIB gun with sleeve, hang tags, box, papers, etc.
Sincerely,

Hobie
