NUTZ, magazine hanger doesnt fit

Well the adventure continues. I got the magazine hanger today but it looks to fit a normal 3/8th dovetail, not my 94 candian centennial that had the one I broke brazed in. Does anyone have an idea of where I might find the one I need? Adapt and overcome is a well used phrase in the Marine Corps infa...

Re: Marlin 336, From Round to Octagonal and more!

is there a hanger for the mag tube under the barrel? Or are you just using the forend cap and front vertical screw to hold it in?

I ask because im waiting for the replacement hanger for my winchester that I broke but wouldnt mind shooting it while I wait.

Re: OT: Ford Ranger questions

I have a 4cyl 5 speed that has 160k on it. I got it at 60k and have never had an engine/tranny issue.

My only problem have been broken U joints(2), a broken sway bar and front stabilizer rods(1) and rusted out rims.

Re: 14 y/o truck...

I have a 2000 2wd 4cyl Ranger. Just a little over 160k and I get 25mpg. I paid 9k for it and after my last good year lobstering paid it off in less then a year, so that means 3 years without a payment. Besides new rims because I rotted through all 4 and 2 new U-joints because I haul a lot of wood I ...

Re: Winchester 94 dilemma... solved

They do just twist in. Winchester didn't sweat or solder them in place. They don't have to. The wide dovetail with the ring in place is held by the tube from twisting or moving. If it's tight, a close fitting dowel or rod will give you the leverage you need. You mag tube itself is usually enough, b...

Marines from 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines-Charlie Company Today isnt about those who are living. It is about these men. Its about remembering Doc Woods smoking on the balcony with me before I went to the gym saturday morning. Or him hounding me for weeks to go to the hospital after a couple concussion...

Re: Winchester 94 dilemma... solved

I'm curious, have you actually removed the old broken magazine ring yet? The older guns had magazine rings that did twist in the barrel, the newer ones like your Canadian Centenial, I believe, were spot welded or sweated on. I bought a Buffalo Bill barrel with a broken ring, the guy gave me a new r...

Re: 45LC Rossi 92 (Pre-Safety)...I gotta tell ya...

Ive had a 16 inch one in 45 colt for some time now. It had the safety but I made a plug for it and it definetly needed a new finish on the stock but now it looks ok. But it is a great beater/canoe/backpacking gun that has hammered a few deer and gone on a few bear hunts. It is in desperate need of a...

Re: Winchester 94 dilemma... solved

Yes sir, in CT you can have an AK-74 as long as it doesnt have a a bayonet lug, or flash surpressor but you cannot have an AK-47 of any type. Why? because its 762 as apposed to 5.45. Although you can have a mini 30, sks, or vz58s which are all chambered in 762 soviet.
