liked the smaller Uberti roller, but thought a 4.5 lb. 45-70 was just dumb. A couple of you guys said, it might be fun with BP. It ate away at me for almost two months. I went and got it today. I can't wait to play.

Pedersoli Lighting ?
I've been asking about test rifles for my 357 mag. loads. Rossi '92's. Baby rolling block, and such have been on my mind. Now I've taken an interest in the current repro of the Colt Lighting made by Pedersoli. Does anyone have experience in these?

Good luck on your retirement. I couldn't make it here in Northern , MN. Taxes and heating bills. I went back to work. I found it is way better. Yes, that's what I think. I had little pride in what I was doing. I went back to work building hunting shacks, cabins, saunas. Now I look back at what I've ...

Ideas wellcome on a 357 mag. test gun........
I'm not sure quite what I want. Of course I like levers. I could get a '92 in what, three brands? Armi, Rossi, and Winchester. Or maybe a single shot. I like the idea or a small roller, but as of right now, I can't seem to find one. I might carry it though the woods once and a while too, so I'd like...

know there's a lot of warnings, but often they're over stated. Does lead really go air born, seems unlikely?

I made this one. I needed to be able to lift it, but I wanted it to be staple on uneven ground. Thus both table and seat are three legged. I put a blanket over it to shoot.

Like these guys said . if your shots are under a hundred yards on a deer sized target a low power scope will help you find the target faster. The scope will help with old eyes that have trouble focusing on iron sights in low light. I tried the 1.5 power and opted for 2.5. I still use a tang peep if ...

Thanks, It's just nice to settle in on a lever gun for my hunt. I've done good in the last few years with my Marlin cowboy 45-70, but it didn't seem like a caliber for a scope. In good light the Marlin is still an option, late day shots were difficult.

OK, I shoot BP cartridge, Ped. Sharps 45-120 to be exact. It's an easy clean up, mostly because you can push patches through from the breach to muzzle. Many here promote BP in leverguns, at least in cartridges mean for BP. I've tried it a few times and it's fun, but I'm still concerned about accumul...
