My son has one he won as Top Overall @ Raton in '94. It'd been reworked with a rehardened cylinder & action job by Bill Oglesby of Springfield, IL. Great gun, still runs strong after replacing the mainspring after sitting in the safe for many years.. IMG_0106.JPG Pictured on top with EMF Hartfo...

Interesting ,could have been disastrous.

I had thought about putting a Colt barrel on mine changing to 38 WCF . Supposedly 1st gen barrels fit.

ASM EMF HARTFORD SAA 1994

Had my old 94 era ASM Hartford SAA , sat down with Kuhnhausens shop manual to compare specs to Colt 1st Gen. Very close indeed all main parts were within Colt tolerances . I didn't take it down but supposedly Barrels of 20 TPI fit these frames. Looking at ratchet appears timing is different though ,...

I held out for a long long time , didn't get one until 2012 or so . I still to this day buy the cheapest phone I can . Last two LG for $169 and latest Samsung Galaxy $199. All I need.
If I hadn't dropped the LG and cracked screen I'd still be using it. Still works fine.

Never heard of it , may try some. I just used liquid wrench and break free CLP.. My grace set fit better but ,crecent wrench on handle twisted it. The magna bit with 1/2" drive started it. But it was back and forth . The rusty shank is what had it.

The Richard Crosier 1886 sold on Gunbroker last year for $25K by itself no other accouterments. Nearly same rifle condition was very high. About the closest a man can get to going back in time and looking at a new 1886 Winchester. You see a decent amount of nice rifles but seldom one with no patina or any use.

Winchester applied grease and preservative oil pretty good to new gunsshipped in crates back then. Which you can see it dried I'm all the nooks and crannies.

If one remembers that crate of 10 Winchester 1894 SRC 's found in a wharhouse. After 100 years or so. Were pristine
