Re: 2 gun shows in central Fla.
Went to Lakeland on Sunday seeing if I could sell one of my Ruger Blackhawk convertible 45s and to find a Beretta 92 at a decent price. Everyone wanted new prices for their used Berettas and I heard several offers of $300-375 for my Blackhawk or as trade value. Walked out with a couple of 50cal ammo...

Re: OT - Springer 1911 at the Range
Good to hear about your Springer. My Springer GI model proved to be the same way. No failures after 500rds. Gotta' love a gun that does what it's supposed to do the first time. For the sake of just needing to tweek things, I later added an EGW bushing. It tightened the fit at the muzzle end a couple...

240 grain JSP (or SWC-GC) with about 19.5 grains of 2400. Moderate load but accurate in my various .44 Mag carbines, rifles, and handguns. Max load is significantly higher than that, but doesn't kill deer any faster. +1 to what AJ said. Have found this load to work great in all my 44mags; single ac...

Rusty,
I picked up some of the Remington shorts a while back. I think they were the 29gr high velocity shorts, but they were pretty loud out of my 62a and 39a. Sounded like a firecracker going off.
I'll head out to walmart and see what they have in stock. They may have a different one out.
