Articles for a deployed Levergunner
I have a good friend who is currently in the desert. If anyone is interested in a morale boost send him articles on sixguns or leverguns. I have been sending him 2 or 3 articles from the Seyfried disk every couple days. He has several junior sailors and marines with him who also are sixgun fans so i...

50-110 vs 50 Alaskan
I am looking at getting a conversion done by DRC or Reg Nonneman and I am not sure which cartridge to go with. the 50-110 has history but the 50 Alaskan is more readily available. I can't find(modern) 50-110 ballistics anywhere. Do any of you have a conversion? I seem to remember JT doing an article...

Re: No Modern Camo?
Camo is mostly a commercial scam. I watch some of theTV hunting shows where guys are shooting 450 yard shots at elk across canyons all camo'ed up like the elk could see them anyway. The Schulz family has been hunting big game including pronghorn for the last 50 years using traditional Howard Hill st...

Re: OT: Bob Howard dead today
I met the Colonel in 1983 and had some contact almost every year until 2006.
He is was of the most unassuming nice guys you could ever meet. America lost a real hero who is a complete unknown.
America is so much poorer today.

Re: What year did Winchester go to angle eject on the1894? Than
Thanks Joe as you could see from my subject line I am having a tough day.
I am now on the look for a 70s or early 80s 1894. Being a lefty, top eject is my friend.

Re: Miroku / Win 1895 405 Win strength
Roger Ferrell in Arkansas has done this chamber throating/magazine mod on more than 1 rifle that has been to Africa. He lengthens the chamber/throat so Woodleigh 400 grainers will function giving 3 in the mag and one in the tube. Northfork 330s go 4 down and one in the tube. The 400's go out at 2000...

Re: Me & My .405 Wrenchester
I had a beaut that I sold to Bryan Pettet to finance another project. I got a good deal so I passed that along to Bryan. He did the same and the guy he sold it to has killed an elk or two with it as I understand it from Bryan. I sold that rifle and a Harry MCGowen 450 Alaskan on a Winchester model 7...
