Yo dudes, , just be yourself. Personally, I'm not changing for nobody. People will either like you or dislike you. Everything in this world is PERCEPTION. People let their minds wander and slant what somebody says to either the negative side or the positive side. I don't think there are any jerks he...

While we are on this subject I'd like to pose a question to the SAA board of Regents. Since Colt does not chamber an SAA in .44 Spec. only anymore, Is the chambering of .44-40 that they do offer with the optional .44 Spec. as accurate as one chambered only in .44 ? Any thoughts on the .44-40 cartri...

I may be all wet here, and even though I personally have not had the best of luck in the reliability dept. with Marlin 94's in 44mag, I believe for this game, I would give one of the long barreled Marlin Cowboys with the octagon barrel a try, because I believe it would be the most accurate. Lastmoh...

Extremely rare. I don't mean to unfairly question you but......... 1.) Did the primer have a good dent on it from the firing pin? (this indicates a properly headspaced firearm or other mechanical problems. 2.) Do you know the history of the ammo as to storage conditions or age? I don't shoot much fa...

I saw this coming several years ago. Todays BIG American gun manufacturers cannot compete with CZ, Taurus, Uberti, etc. Like most American manufacturing jobs, the gun business is soon to be a thing of the past here in the USA. I truly expect Remington, Marlin, and Savage to go the way of Winchester....

Shawn, I would say your '95 shoots pretty good. Much better than mine as mine will not shoot jacketed. I have to shoot cast sized to .312. BTW, that sure is a late 1895. Not many came out of the factory in the 30's. Ravenman--Looks like a really fun place to shoot. I see you got steel and plenty of ...

Dastook, Chuck 100 Yd hit the nail on the head. I am 53 and all of my leverguns are equipped with tang sights. There is a lot of truth on the Colt. First, If someone was going to drop me in Alaska with one handgun and I had to live on it, it would be a Ruger NM. Colts 3rd gens. are expensive but when it comes time to sell, you get your money back if the time frame is several years or so. Won't do that with a...

Depends if they were pre 1952 or not. (as to value) The long forend (pre-52) is more desirable and a near new specimen might bring 6 but more likely 4-4.5 . Short forend (1952-1963) can be had around here for 3-4 in 95% or better. That will all change in the next couple of years as guys who can't af...

No quality problems from that era--just some final finishing and smoothness of the action is not as nice as previous SAA's. Cubrock is mighty close because if you look around you can find them NIB at about that price, but you did not mention: 1.) Are they NIB? 2.) If not, do they have the boxes? 3.)...
