Re: Anybody have a 375 Ruger?
I just got a smokin' deal on a left handed African Model M77. It should come in by Friday and I have found lots of load data for heavy loads but nothing for reduced loads with cast bullets. I want to do this so I can practice a lot with it (never owned a left handed bolt gun even though I'm a south...

I've lived in both places. I don't miss Colorado Springs, though it is certainly not a bad place to live. I do miss Carson City (well, I guess I was just outside the city limits, a couple of blocks past the Moonlight Bunny Ranch). Other than when I lived on the ranch I never had such a short distan...

I shot some groups of around 3/8" at 50 yards with my Ruger #1, .375 H&H. The load was 32 grs IMR4198 with the Lyman #375449 gas check bullet. I put a bit of poly batting over the powder to keep it close to the primer. I don't recall if I used LP or LR primers with this load. I didn't chro...

Glad to Pard... When I bought my rifle it was a .458. I had it rebarreled by ER Shaw in '78. I also bought two boxes of Win. 270 gr. power points. Recoil wasn't too bad, but more than what I was used to. To get used to it I looked up some cast loads in the Lyman #43 using 2400 powder which I always ...

I'll play with you pards... In the field there's no difference that I can see. A 250gr. Keith going out at 1000 to 1050fps. in any of them (including the .41 mag) will shoot thru deer & elk with no problem. Having used .44mags (5 of them) & 45 Colts at midrange velocities on deer, black bear...

I like the Redfield sourdoughs for my sight needs. I couldn't tell where the bead was on the target at the moment the gun fired, unless I sighted the bead to be full on the target. Learning a six-o'clock hold wouldn't allow me to use the bead. Also, I would lose the bead in winter glare (just me). I...
