Police Humor!

NEW JERSEY STATE POLICE DISPLAY SENSITIVITY
I get irritated when people come down on our police officers, saying
That they don't care about or respect others. Well, here is a story that
Clearly shows not all cops are in that category.

This story involves the State Police in the town of Bordentown, N.J. who
Reported finding a man's body last Saturday in the early evening in the
Delaware River near the state highway-206 bridge. The dead man's name
Would not be released until his family had been notified.

The victim apparently drowned due to excessive beer consumption while
Visiting "someone" in the Bordentown area . He was wearing black
fishnet Stockings, 4 inch spiked heels, a red garter belt, a pink
G-string, purple Lipstick, dazzle dust on his eyelids, 1/2 inch false
eyelashes and an Obama T-shirt.

The Troopers removed the Obama T-shirt to spare his family any
unnecessary embarrassment.

See there, New Jersey State Police do care.

A state trooper pulled a woman over for speeding. The woman, waited till the trooper arrived at the window and before he could speak said "WHy did you pull me over? Are you selling tickets to the annual Policeman's Ball?"

The trooper sneered and said "No ma'am, State Troopers don't have any balls."

There was a moment of awkward silence. Then the trooper tipped his hat, returned to his car and drove off.

I tend to make fun of most of the "idiots-in-chief" we've had over the past 40 or 50 years. They each have provided some humorous aspect that is readily and shamelessly exploited by many political pundits. Frankly, you could remove our current idiot-in-chief's name and substitute any of his precedessors, and the punch line works as well... for humor.

I have to say, that I am convinced of the non-political nature of this joke. Nowhere in there was there a comment about his policies or the agenda he has sought to foist off on the American public.

It's true that politicaly correct humor tends to be dull. The converse is equally correct -- politically incorrect humor is not amusing and is often downright distasteful.

I like a joke just like everybody else; I favor humor directed at politicians. But I don't favor making fun of people because they bear some immutable, harmless trait. 50 years ago, my mom taught me not make fun of the paraplegic. As an adult, I find no humor in jokes about the blind, the deformed, Catholics, Blacks, Jews and the folk we used to call, 'the retarded'.

As an adult, I find the op joke unmanly, devoid of humorous content and assume its furtherance & long life has been the product of a flawed upbringings.
