I just got back from seeing it. I thought it was really good. Very well done and lots of great guns. The Colt 1851 and 1860 cartridge conversions being my personal favorites.

That's just too much money, even if you planned on selling the original lockwork. The D&T ruins it for any collector and me too. Now that Clements is doing Bisley conversions on Old Models, I think I'll wait on a $300 beater that has not been converted.

Only if it was scaled down to a more appropriate size. I just ain't gonna tote around a 9lb rimfire. A two-thirds or three-quarter sized #1 would be perfect for the job. Gotta get it down to 6lbs or less, preferably less.

It's been raining here off and on. It's about 70miles to the nearest theater so I'm waiting for clear skies tomorrow or Thursday so I can go on the bike. Dad saw it last week and said it was really good.

I handled one for the first time two weeks ago and was surprised at how well it handled. Expected it to be way too heavy but was pleasantly surprised. Now I want one!

I can't seem to get away from a 240gr SWC over 10.0gr Unique. Gives me 1050fps from a short sixgun and 1400fps from a rifle. Runnin' full speed is not usually necessary. When I do, I like a 240gr GDHP over 20-22.0gr 2400.

I would mount it in a sporter stock and install peep sights. I waited too long to go back for a really nice sporterized Krag last fall and have regretted it ever since. Would've been a great all-around rifle.

Sounds like it might be from the first run of the new Miroku, Winchester-marked `92's. Was it a 24" round barrel with a tang safety and rebounding hammer? Good price for a `92, not so good for a `94.

There's some good ones on that site, a few are pretty affordable, relatively speaking. I especially like this one from their hammerguns page. A rook rifle converted to a .410. With a 28" barrel it still weighs only 4lbs, 4oz! Something like this would be awesome! http://www.pantilesguns.co.uk/p...

Nice rifles! That's funny, I was just looking at a little Martini Cadet chambered in .25-20SS on Cabela's site. That's a neat little rifle and a feather light 4lbs, 11oz. Definitely got me to thinking.
