Doc, it sounds like we need a Levergunner volunteer workday at your house.
Re: My bench is messier than your bench ...
"busy" really does not equate to "messy" ....

Nice space Jim! Elbow room and everything.
Reminds me that I haven't used my old Lyman powder measure in many years. Just got used to fiddling with the Lee scoop set.

Re: My bench is messier than your bench ...
I use both plus home-made dippers. If you look on the top shelf the Lee scoops are there .. a set I bought back in the 1970's. They are not in CC's.Bill in Oregon wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 8:20 am Nice space Jim! Elbow room and everything.

Rockrat: prove it!
Jim, do I see two Lee Loaders? Mine is my one and only for 16 gauge shotgun, bought around 1969.

Yes. One is 38 Special and one is 12 ga. Both bought about 1969/1970.

Vall, with all those wonderful old Ballards, Marlins and rolling blocks you load for, I'll bet it is a sight to behold.

Wow, Will, you're a serious shotgunner. Multiple kegs of Green Dot!
You'd have a good laugh watching me try to install new .410 dies in my MEC 600 Mk V Jr without instructions in 106-degree heat this afternoon. I gave up and decided, to heck with this, I'm drinking beer.

Re: My bench is messier than your bench ...
Not my bench, which is just to the left, but my attempt at organizing my reloading area.

FarmerJohn, that's an epic bench you have going there!
Jay, very nicely organized and all the brass is shiny and clean.
I agree with Ray you deserve some kind of an award for your scoop collection -- and your scoops are clean, too!

Re: My bench is messier than your bench ...
Mmm...
This isn't an accurate representation of my reloading room because I made a clean spot the other day.
I hate to say it, but the super wide angle lens makes it look A LOT better than it really is.

Slow is just slow.
Re: My bench is messier than your bench ...
I like your fine lever actions in the last picture!
Re: My bench is messier than your bench ...
You're absolutely right....your bench is messier than mine.
Re: My bench is messier than your bench ...
Now THATS about like my bench!!
Re: My bench is messier than your bench ...
Mine is neither the messiest or the most organized and I'm glad to find that I'm in good company here. I may show some of these to the wife - "See Hon? I'm normal!"

Cas, you are surely a serious contender!

"My bench is messier than your bench ..."
Undoubtedly. My bench is clean and organized so that I can always find everything with ease. At only 5' long and 2.5' wide, it has to be.
With organization, I've happily handloaded over 300K rds of 16 different calibers (7 pistol and 9 rifle) in the last 25+ years on a Dillon RL550B I learned on, then a XL650 w/casefeeder when I got into necked rifle calibers and in early 2020, the XL750 shown below.
Further, for me the joy in reloading is the zen like quality of the repetitive motions and the relaxing effect of the work so my bench is always like this. Even when reloading I put things away to keep the clutter at a minimum.
My tumbling room is to the right of my bench out of the picture where I have my tumblers and most of my stock. Even though it's behind a closed door, it's always clean and organized as well.
