Now I ask ya, how long can a guy go without a 30-30?
Just bought a Winchester model 94, 30-30 made in 1950.
Of course it's not perfect but not bad and has metal butt plate and long fore stock. Shotgun butt. Looked at older, more expensive 94's but believe one made in 1950 will take safe yet hot loads better than one made in 1920. Maybe not but it should do.
$629.99 and he waived the shipping charge. See what happens when you're nice to people?

Must be about the last year for the metal butt plate and long fore stock. Believe I seen one made in 1952 that did not have long fore stock--don't know about butt plate.
Now my 30-30 ammo gets chronographed! Real interested to see how fast my 125 gr Sierra bullet loads are. Guessing 2500 fps or close.
Gun's coming from Minnesota and guy there says it's -2 (3:15 PM) and 30 mph wind. Wind chill about -30. Not for me.
