I dont know about the 73, but my original model 92 in 38-40 loves

I had a Tristar Uberti 73 in 45 colt and it was very accurate.

It should, at a maximum, shoot into 3 or 3 and 1/2" at 100 yds. Say, about 2 to 2 and 1/2 at 50. Properly tailored ammo could easily cut those distances in half. My antique Winchesters, Marlin and Colt will all do 3" at 100. The Colt, made in '88 will do 2"

These group sizes are my criteria for acceptence. If group sizes are bigger, the gun goes. --------Sixgun

No one has answered you question in terms of the 73 replica in 38-40 yet, because they are really not all that common! :)

Afraid I can't either, but I do have an original 1873 in 38-40, and it is a tack driver! :D
