38/40 win. How accurate in a repo 73?

It should, at a maximum, shoot into 3 or 3 and 1/2" at 100 yds. Say, about 2 to 2 and 1/2 at 50. Properly tailored ammo could easily cut those distances in half. My antique Winchesters, Marlin and Colt will all do 3" at 100. The Colt, made in '88 will do 2"

No one has answered you question in terms of the 73 replica in 38-40 yet, because they are really not all that common!
Afraid I can't either, but I do have an original 1873 in 38-40, and it is a tack driver!
