There's a test you can take to get a general idea of your political philosophy. I'm a "Moderate Populist". I don't know if that's good or bad, but it's who I am. I took it three times to make sure!
Some of the topics are misleading. Just click on the topic and it will show you more details. Especially these, "Make taxes more progressive", "Support and expand free trade", and "Replace US Troops in Iraq". So, be careful. You might accidentally give a liberal democrat's answer!
Good luck!

Sadly, "Political Correctness" is the most powerful religion in America, and it has ruined our society.

Indicated the same for me, and I'm not either. Even if he were a contender, there are a couple issues that are important to me that we differ on. I'm staying with "Palin 2012".

Didn't work for me. I'm rather doubtful of this test's ability to devine an accurate outcome, primarily because they claim that one's views on the absolute right to own a gun does not figure into political philosophy.
IMO, and in my case, the test was waaaay off.
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Coooome ooon what did yooou get!
"Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are
willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom." - John F. Kennedy
I took the test twice and put difference answers in each time. Not drastically different, but different just the same.
The little red dot indicated I lean toward moderate populist, and the expanded description below seemed wildly off base on what my my views are according to the scores posted. Now, I'm not going to claim I'm not a moderate populist, because I'm not really sure what that is and it sounds like some made-up BS to me, but like I said, the expanded description was just way off.
And then there was the gun thing...

Lots of good info there. Thanks! According to this one, I'm a Centrist-Libertarian. I think I'm getting the idea that I am all over the place, but it averages in the middle! Maybe I'm a Liberal Conservative with Populistic Libertarian tendencies!

"Where You Fit In
Where your Personal score meets your Economic score on the grid below is your political philosophy. Based on the above score, you are a Hard-Core Conservative."
I suppose that next to me Bob Barr is a flaming liberal!
Really Baby, I swear that it just followed me home.
We are determined that before the sun sets on this terrible struggle, our flag will be recognized throughout the world as a symbol of freedom on the one hand, of overwhelming power on the other.
I've been wanting Palin to become more known and have been backing her for nearly the past year - so I'm obviously voting McCain / Palin.
I had planned to vote Ron Paul (via write-in) because I thought the democrats would be WAY ahead in the polls... But then I never in my wildest dreams thought that McCain would be smart enough to recognise that Palin was the best choice out there for VP.
Politicians and diapers both require frequent changing for the EXACT same reason!
53% Barr
50% Mcain
13% BHO
Probably pretty close. I disagree with them both on different issues. I don't know where the 13% for BHO sneaked in, probably two disagreements for diametretic opposite reasons.
Good quiz.

Pete44ru wrote:[WHAT IS YOUR POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY?]
I didn't look at the link/test(?), since my political philosophy is fairly simple:
IF THEY ARE ANTI-GUN, I AM ANTI-THEM !
Nothing else, and I mean NOTHING, means as much to me - because w/o guns, I truely believe we will become enslaved.
.
Yep - if someone wants to take away the last bastion of hope a desparate citizenry could turn to when all other means failed, you have to ask yourself WHY any rational person, given the LONG track record of humanity and abuse by tyrants, that anyone would relinquish that freedom at all, regardless of the 'reason.'
Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws "first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.
Where your Personal score meets your Economic score on the grid below is your political philosophy. Based on the above score, you are a Liberal-Leaning Populist .
I also ask, What is a Populist?
60% Bob Barr.
That doesn't suprise me, I have voted Libertarian for the last 4 Presidential elections.
I didn't come anywhere close to even 50% agreement with anyone on either overall or individual category. I suggest we compost them all and start from scratch.
http://www.friesian.com/quiz.htm shows an explanatory chart that shows their definition of a "populist" to be an authoritarian (wants to regulate everything) as opposed to a Libertarian. Others may use other definitions, but essentially all that is "halfway between" left and right is not the same.
