I think these little carbines look so good. Like a little Square Bridge Mauser and control round feeding.

Re: Mini Mauser CZ527
I don't have a CZ527, but I do have two CZ452s, one in .22 LR and .17 HM2 I bought in 2005. I bought the .22 to use for small game hunting with a suppressor, but it was too good-looking to chop and thread. Then I bought a new 452 in .17HM2 and threaded it. I have two Nephews who think that during squirrel season on my farm in WV, if it goes crack, that is a dead squirrel. The .22 I shot NRL 22 Matches with, and it is so accurate it puts you in the UNLIMITED CLASS just for using it.

I always admired the 527 as well. I wish I had picked up one in 7.62x39 and maybe another in 221, 222 or 223

I love the way the action and barrel are machined. And it mounts perfectly for the sight to be dead on for my eyes.

Re: Mini Mauser CZ527
I'd love one in 22 Hornet, 204 Ruger, or 221 Fireball. I keep watching them up on GB but they all seem to go over $1000.
... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.

Many years ago we had the use of a shop loaner whilst a gun was being customized. I'm unsure of the model number but it was in the sks/ak round and had the full length stock and fixed rear sight. I remember the front bead wiggling on the shallow V rear did not inspire confidence but for quick shooting at closer ranges we learned to use it.
Many years later a similar sighting arrangement on a .375 model 70 Winchester took some time to get used to. Those who used such imprecise sights to good advantage.....african p.h.'s and the like, all advised that you just have to trust the sight picture and snap-shoot without dawdling too long over the shot. If we had kept the cz by purchasing I would have had to scope it and I remember it did not have a conventional mounting system that I was used to and the hardware was relatively expensive then and hard to acquire.
Those were the days of well under twenty cent per russian steel case ammo and we put enough through it to make the thing quite hot to the touch.
