And somewhere along the way Marlin must have changed their throating on 30/30's -- his newer Marlin doesn't have any more throat than my 35 Remington. It won't chamber the rounds I load for my old 336A from 1950.

One of my favorite sights. I don't happen to need one now, but anyone on the fence about buying it, I can say it is a top-quality item and enables precision shooting on par with a 3x or so scope in my hands. I remove the aperture for a 'ghost ring' effect, and even with that, it still enables precision shooting. The 'click' adjustments are reproducible and accurate.
