Wonder boy here ordered the sight for the later top-drilled Marlins instead of the sight for older side-drilled Marlins. :|

So where'd you find the better price, Bill? One of our buffalo shooters is going to need one of those if he can get a good enough load going in his newer Marlin.

And somewhere along the way Marlin must have changed their throating on 30/30's -- his newer Marlin doesn't have any more throat than my 35 Remington. It won't chamber the rounds I load for my old 336A from 1950.

.
One of my favorite sights. I don't happen to need one now, but anyone on the fence about buying it, I can say it is a top-quality item and enables precision shooting on par with a 3x or so scope in my hands. I remove the aperture for a 'ghost ring' effect, and even with that, it still enables precision shooting. The 'click' adjustments are reproducible and accurate.

Earl, I ordered this one from Midway. Cost me $66 plus shipping and taxes. They are out now. The side-drilled compatible Foolproof is $81. :|
Thanks Doc!
