Very interesting.... sort of a mini globe sight....or a large diameter aperture insert for a globe with cross hairs...

I have a cross hair globe sight insert that I've never bothered to try on the assumption that I wouldn't be able to see it.

Thanks for the replies. I also received a response elsewhere that indicates the need for opening the feed rails. I found an action in very good shape and will proceed with the conversion. It will be a real United Nations job - a Japanese built German rifle for the Thai army, modified in Australia fo...

I know exactly how you're feeling. I was the same when I reported for discharge from the Army after 26 years. I had gone in from school aged 17 and had no experience of the civilian world - it was a real culture shock. It must be close to 14 years since I left but I still feel Army.

Has anyone any experience of the Siamese in 45-70? I am particularly interested in the magazine modifications needed and how well they feed.

I saw a Wedge-Tailed Eagle kill a cat. It dropped from a limb onto the cat and held it fast in its talons until the cat was dead - suffocated - before pulling it apart.

Win 94 CBS Removal - ??

I need some clarication. Does it push out from right to left or from left to right? Looks like a difference of opinions here: 1: Cock the hammer back and push the safety to the left. You will see on the right side of the gun, inside the area pictured, little holes in the cross bolt . Line up the hol...

Yeah, most references I found mention French Grey 'type' finishes. I understand there is a cyanide method of case hardening that imparts a grey finish. Whether this is true French Grey remains open to question.

HUMOR - British Train Travel

Dunno if this has made the rounds in the US but it appealed to me: The train was quite crowded, so a U. S. Marine walked the entire length looking for a seat, but the only seat left was taken by a well dressed, middle-aged, French woman's poodle. The war-weary Marine asked, "Ma'am, may I have t...
