I don't know, but the Eagle looks a bit on the small side. :?

I've had this picture on my hard drive for several yeas. I've often wondered what happened.

Did the cat become a snack .....
Did the eagle fly away .........
Did the photographer intervene ......

I've always hoped the kitty got a dose of smarts and got the bleep outa there though.

Good questions Joe.
I like the birds of prey better than house cats though , I hope that young Eagle ended up with a good meal.

I saw a Wedge-Tailed Eagle kill a cat. It dropped from a limb onto the cat and held it fast in its talons until the cat was dead - suffocated - before pulling it apart.

Well that, and they taste good too. At least their large wild relatives do. Never tried a house cat.........yet.
