My 1963 M1100 shotgun has used the same approach for ages in mounting a scope sight for use with a slug barrel. My prefered peep sight mount is the one used on a couple of my M94 'Big Bores'. They came factory drilled and tapped for a Williams 'Foolproof' receiver sight. The 4 holes are on top of th...

A lot of the crude exported via super tankers is loaded via underwater pipeline because the ships are either too large to enter harbor or too hazardous. The oil is pumped offshore to deepwater outlets where the tankers 'plug in' and fill up.

My father used it with no ill effects. It does make you smell like garlic bread. I get it here from the local farm supply.
I think the main danger is that it causes other chemicals to be readily absorbed through the skin. I would be cautious about what I touched with it on my skin.

I have Hollywood carbide dies in .223 and .308 and they too require lubing. They also size to a minimal dimension probably to guarantee chambering in the plethora of autoloading guns. I once even used them to load some 308 for a friend with a fluted chamber rifle and even with lube it was an effort.

I suspect that newly manufactured rifles of modern steels could take higher pressures than older guns. The 7-30 Waters is loaded to SAAMI 50,000 psi. The shortage of small game is not due to the predators. It is due to habitat loss. No way a .300 Whisper/Blackout will come anywhere near a .260 or 7x57.
With a 125-130 grain bullet it is essentially a clone of the 7.62x39mm
The autoloaders are becoming increasingly popular around here. The question is whether the users are 'hunters' or 'shooters'.
