I luv it Have a 18" T/C contender carbine in 45 auto. Factory loads pick up about 100fps, My load is a Lee 255 gr RFN boolit with 9.4grs of HS7, it chronos at 1050 FPS, it feels like big a 22. Think it would punch thru a small sapling at after breaking both shoulders of any size deer.

Went to Dollar tree and bought a big jug of hand lotion for a $1 turns out it has lanolin in it, works great for resizing and lasts forever comes off with lighter fluid. Not needed but do it any way out of habit. Also reformed 444M cases to 35 and 30 cal wildcats with 0 losses or stuck cases.

They will be noisy the first 25-50 shots until you get all the assembly lube and oils shot out them. After 50 shots they start to settle in/ break in andyou should also see velocity go up some and the gun wont vibrate as much and feel smoother when fired. Put a 3-9X scope on it and shoot grasshopper...

Have always wanted a 9mm barrel for my contender. Ed's TC had a 16 1/4". Finally got to shoot and chrony it. RP 115gr HP's 1350 fps. WW white box 115 gr FMJ's 1330 fps, WW" clean ammo " 147 gr FP's 1150 fps. It has the 357" bore but shot great, alot louder than i thought it would...

Ben have you tried/thought/about 250 Savage or 257 roberts dies. That way you could neck size, and then use 30 or 32 rem dies to size the base. Was at the Cabela's in Owatonna and they had a 30 and 32 Rem pumps for $499 and $399. Was thinking too bad one of them wasnt a 25 Rem. Great find . HOW BOUT...

Twas a solid frame, had no extra holes, metal was the typical silvery/gray patina. Stocks were "dark" and a few nicks and dings in them, but had a nice smoooth action and trigger. The magazine didnt stick out of the forend.

Found one at the Ft Worth Cabela's, they wante $999 for it. Had SN# 8583 and was made in 1927, nice bore and rifling. Was/Is this an ok deal? No I didnt buy it, but sure keep thinking about it.

No you didnt give wrong impression. Hornady's latest manual says under the 45 200 SWC loading data that it had been discontinued. Hope i"m wrong or they changed their mind and didnt discontinue it.

I dont blame you, i would'v bought a bolt today if i had the funds. Saw 2 left handed Ruger M77's in 270 today. Glad you were able to buy yours. 2 people that i know with 338's mention MOA accuracy well past 300 yards

Dissapointing Chrony results
Went to range yesterday and chrony the Remington CBees They ranged from 580FPS to a high of 837FPS with majority ranging from 680 to 780fps. The upside was the 357 loaded with Saeco 180RF's and 13.5 H2400 averaged 1530 with on 15fps standard deviation. Am going back Sunday to redo the CBees.
