This gun is just super accurate! I have two Freedom Arms revolvers that won’t shoot as good as this gun does from my hand.

If you know an old hand loader who can show you the way you can avoid a lot of mistakes. I loaded some ammo back in the 1980s that is nowhere near as good as the ammunition I make today.

Re: Is Reloading Getting Too Expensive to Consider?

I’m not sure where I fall on the spectrum. But I fire a bit over100 rounds of .38 Special this morning and that’s not terribly uncommon. I fired much lower amount of.44 Special and a handful of.327 Federal. I load at least a couple of hundred rounds of something weekly. I have to load just to keep up.

This seems to be a bit more gun than a .30 carbine. And it looks like they just rehabbed the existing .32H&R barrel.

It surprised me because it fees .32 Long, .32H&R and .327 Federal with no issues.

It looks like.327 Federal with 100 gr factory ammo is the rough equivalent of the.30 Carbine in a levergun.

I wonder about this cartridge in a carbine. I can get 1500 fps in a Single Seven, I’ll bet that load would cook in a 16 inch barrel!

There’s a company called Grizzly Custom Guns that does impressive work on Marlin leverguns.

There’s nothing wrong with simpler equipment either. A Lee Hand press and a set of dies is inexpensive and creates ammo that is every bit as good as what can be produced on a Dillon. This kit fits in an ammo can and allows one to reload anywhere. I started loading.30 Carbine ammo at the kitchen tabl...

I grew up on Colt SAA's and old Rugers and prefer them by far to the New Model Rugers and any other sixgun that has a transfer bar. That's just my preference. I prefer the feel and action. I am not arguing they are better. It's just what I want in a sixgun.

There was also rust on the underrated of the barrel near the muzzle. The gun was obviously owned by a shooter at one time. It has a free sp...
