Re: neck sizing and case gauge
Wilson makes great stuff, but not the same as your chamber. Cast loading you might never need to FLS. For hunting ammo Check each cartridge in chamber. Gary

Re: OT - Any 35 Whelen OR Remington pump rifle experience?
A fellow at work wanted one at one time. I told him I would rather have a 7.7 jap rifle to hunt with, I was not kidding. A gunsmith showed me a barrel extension that was sprung from a older 270 rifle Remington pump maybe they are better now. Gary

Re: Model 92 Deluxe
Pitchy The carrier has a shell stop at the back, I had cut one back for a original 92 for the 218 Bee with a hack saw and a wood chisel about .060" it was soft as butter. You might ask Nate Jones about your rifle. Gary

Re: Do Gas Checks Scrape Lead?
Have shot lead bullets many years "50" or so. I feel the horandy check will scrape lead but don't know everything about cast like some people claim. Leading always seems to me to make groups larger, much larger. Might not notice with a 22 auto but a good accurate bolt rifle or a accurate c...

Re: HELP, I did something I shouldn't have..........
You might try a feeler gauge along side of the barrel and inside the wood to give the screw a push or pull with a fish hook ground on the flat metal blade. Gary

Re: My 92 Japchester
Just got one in .357 only and 9 shot. Cut some mag. spring coils now 10 shot. Has solid steel follower, I like that. Rebounding hammer, well that's going away. Need peep sight, I would remove tang safety plug hole and drill and tap tang for one screw in front and original screw at rear. Mine has .00...

Most of the Paper cartridge guns were converted, Best to leave it as is and just buy a center fire type and would probably be cheaper also. Gary

Re: OT-Western Arms double Barrel
I bought one about 30 years ago, it was well used F&M 30" 12 ga. It needed some repair and I took the hammer pins out etc and there it sat in a shoe box about 15 years or so, could not quite compress the springs and get it together. Later I needed a Double for cas and have shot it for about...

Re: Win 94 mag question
I would think it would be a better shooter with a short mag "for accuracy" so if it were me I would leave the set up the way it is. Gary

Re: Is this worth the price?
Didn't look to bad form the outside but the muzzle and throat of the barrel looks like 5 miles of bad road, not a shooter. Also hammer at full cock looks like the trigger or hammer sear broken. Lots of photos but not much on inspected condition. Gary

Years ago I took a Lee Speed rifle to the range firing one time reloaded RP brass. The chamber was loose like a military as was the head space. Military chamber. Not made for reloading, made for war. Gary

Was wondering where your range is looks like concrete benches, A pard lived at Soap lake for quite some time Maybe you ran into him. Dale Brammer also lived in Ephrata and lake View. Worked construction, roofing, in summer time for Perty Co scrap box cars. He shot a lot of cast. Gary

Re: 32-20 insanity
Problems when reloading can be caused by different case lengths of brass, Remington have been longer that WW, Winchester, so when belling or crimping they should be all trimmed the same or loaded in groups. Readjusting belling, seating and crimping. Some dies will not crimp because the case is to sh...
