OT-Western Arms double Barrel

This is the third cleanup of the 5 that I got. It is a Western Arms of Ithaca NY. The only thing they made was a double in various Gauges. This one is 20 Ga. They were mfg 1929-1946 (older than Me) Says Long Range Guns on top of barrel.
This one was easy to clean up,no major rust. Just wiped it down with bore cleaner and steel wool.I am happy with the way it turned out. Bores R shiny and will clean up really nice. Couple pics after- no before pics.

My first gun was a .410 double that said Western Arms Division, Ithica Gun Company. Looks exactly like your gun even down to the dog engraved on the side. Belongs to one of my Grandsons now though it is in my safe still.

Not quite - They were an "economy" double gun, made by Ithaca Gun Co, who also made single-barrel trap guns, several escalating grades of Ithaca-brand double shotguns, Lefever Nitro Special single & double shotguns, and the famous Model 37 pumpgun.

I bought one about 30 years ago, it was well used F&M 30" 12 ga. It needed some repair and I took the hammer pins out etc and there it sat in a shoe box about 15 years or so, could not quite compress the springs and get it together. Later I needed a Double for cas and have shot it for about 8 years, Still working and shoots well to point of aim. This one is #13XX and still going strong. Gary

True-Ithaca made others.I was refering only to Western Arms Corp Ithaca NY brand

My point was that there was never anysuch separate "Western Arms Corp" - It's just a name that the Ithaca Gun Co created to mark their line of economy guns with.

UR right Pete. I guess I should have said,It is a Western Arms Corp of Ithaca NY- Mfg by Ithaca gun works. I can see where it might be misleading to those not in the Know. Afterall this Forum is educational.
