Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
I don't hunt rabbits anymore. We had a beagle when I was a kid, and we hunted them during the winter months. I can't remember the last time I shot one. I don't really care to eat them so I leave them be. It's partridge I hate to see the predators decimating. When the predators cause a reduction in t...

$350 is a deal even on a post 64 . You did good . This is truth. Especially the last few years. I have a post 64 from 1968 that I use as a truck carbine. I really can't fault it as it's a great shooter. I replaced the stamped lifter with the later cast version, but the stamped o e ne er gave me a p...

Eh. I know the 45-70 is a great cartridge. The fact that it's been around since 1873 and is still in use says it all. I have or have had Trapdoors, 1886s, 1881 Marlins, and a 1972 style 1895 Marlin. It used to be that the rabbits could outbreed what the predators killed here. Not so much anymore. Everyone used to shoot hawks back in the day. Now they are everywhere. Haha we are overrun with grey squirrels in town. They are everywhere, in spite of dad shooting them constantly. We rarely see reds in town. Just a few a year, normally.
In the woods, it's usually the other way around.
