All the "O" ring does is provide more positive pressure to the extractor, won't hurt your brass. I put them in all my guns.

Thanks everyone, part of the problem; when my friend informed them I was aware of it and coming back,resolved itself. Seems taking advantage of 87 year old with diminished cognitive skills, is not the same as taking on a 62 year old who can still move and scoot. Hmmm.....sounds like a situation one...

This is one seriously fine rifle. Finding one in .32-20 with as nice a bore as you've described is hard to do. I'm jealous.

I have the Beretta version of the Uberti, it had to go back to the factory before I ever got to shoot it. But I guess they got it right the second time around. The Beretta version came out before the regular Uberti and has painted on "case colors", wish I had waited to get the Uberti model...

I owned a .460 Weatherby once and I have shot a .460 S&W one time. Recoil on the rifle was bad, the pistol was MUCH WORSE. I think both the S&W .460 and .500 would make excellent brush busters in a carbine tho.
