All the "O" ring does is provide more positive pressure to the extractor, won't hurt your brass. I put them in all my guns.

The primer will be plenty for wax bullets. You may have problems with the primers backing out of the cases and binding up the gun with wax bullets unless you enlarge the touch hole. I owned a .460 Weatherby once and I have shot a .460 S&W one time. Recoil on the rifle was bad, the pistol was MUCH WORSE. I think both the S&W .460 and .500 would make excellent brush busters in a carbine tho.
