How to mount a saddle ring on a Marlin?
I have a brass saddle ring made by Wild West Guns that I purchased long ago. I want to mount the ring on one of my Marlin 1894 rifles. I have a 336 Texan with an original ring in place, would like to mount the ring on the 1894 rifle so it looks "right". I would appreciate any help other me...

I have a Marlin 1897 Texan as others have described, with 20" octagon barrel, straight stock, etc. I have seen them sell for $700-750 so that price mentioned is not far off for this rifle.

Marlin 336 Texan barrel/sights look wrong
On my Marlin 336T the sights--both front and rear--are canted to the left a few degrees. Could it be that the barrel was threaded in a little bit too far? I would appreciate some advice on how to fix this problem and/or recommendations for a good gunsmith to fixt it. Thanks.
