If you look in the my above post I admit to being a idiot, I adjusted the ocular and it did make the dot alot sharper, will have to see if I can see it in lower light now...believe Im going to take it off the market and keep it for now until I find out if I can use it, as you said its a nice scope a...

You are absolutely correct, Im a idiot, Ive gotten used to my newer Bushnells with the adj. at the very back of the bell... I just took a quick look at the back of the bell and assumed it didnt have it... have it front of me now and its plain as day it does, I apologize for not paying closer attenti...

the scope is clear as a bell, thats not what keeps me from seeing the dot its the fact that the dot is a matt brown or light black color and when it starts getting toward dusk my eyes dont pick up the dot against a deers side...in the middle of the day or bright sunlight of early morning I can see i...

the crosshairs are as thin as a spiderweb, its designed for the dot to appear as if floating in the center of scope...actually better then crosshairs if you can see it in low light...

Guys thanks and let me know if Im too high on the scope, thought Id seen a couple sell in this price range but wont swear to it...I got the scope on a muzzleloader I bought but since I cant see the reticle and dont feel like messing with changing it thats why its for sale, it tracks and hold zero gr...

Guys thanks for the help...I dont hunt what would be called heavy timber, but it is fairly thick and brush in areas but can also be open to. Like I said I like the dot but my 50 yr. old eyes have a hard time seeing it in the darker woods and early morning/dusk..dont really want to purchase another s...

Ive got a Black Diamond T/C muzzleloader that came with a Leupold M-8 3x scope, one of the older ones... it is in very good shape and holds zero and tracks very well..the problem I have is the reticle its what is called the Lee floating dot or maybe premier dot and while I like it it is hard to see ...

Shot this buck on Nov. 17th with my Rossi .44 mag Puma, 75 yds. w/open sights, 240 gr. American Eagle JHP...field dressed 210# ... really really like this gun, with this load it will consistently hit a 20 oz. pop bottle at 100 yds w/open sights.

Hey thanks for the info, your right if I start shooting alot then Ill look into it...it would be a whole lot cheaper.. no I have never gotten into handloading, my neighbor does if I want to try a load he would load some up for me...no more then I shoot anymore its just as cheap for me to buy 50 roun...

no I have never gotten into handloading, my neighbor does if I want to try a load he would load some up for me...no more then I shoot anymore its just as cheap for me to buy 50 round boxes.... I jut use the .44 to deer hunt, have always used a slug gun until last year.

Went over to my neighbors to shoot with him a little bit this evening before dark and heres a pic of my 1st 5 shots with American Eagle 240 gr. JHP with the stock open sights...the other holes are from his handloads that I was trying in my gun, it did not like them at all... Also sat a 32 0z. Gatora...

I know what you mean by the stiff creaky bones,LOL. 66GTO, When hunting I never feel the recoil of the gun anyway but like you said for extended sessions on a bench it can make you get a little flinchy...where I hunt most shots are 60 yds or less unless your hunting a bean or picked cornfield so ope...

thanks for the link...I actually like the idea of the holo sight on a hunting gun, would be very quick but would add a little weight to a otherwise very well balanced weapon.
