You are absolutely correct, Im a idiot, Ive gotten used to my newer Bushnells with the adj. at the very back of the bell... the crosshairs are as thin as a spiderweb, its designed for the dot to appear as if floating in the center of scope...actually better then crosshairs if you can see it in low light...

Guys thanks for the help...I dont hunt what would be called heavy timber, but it is fairly thick and brush in areas but can also be open to. Like I said I like the dot but my 50 yr. old eyes have a hard time seeing it in the darker woods and early morning/dusk..dont really want to purchase another s...

Ive got a Black Diamond T/C muzzleloader that came with a Leupold M-8 3x scope, one of the older ones... it is in very good shape and holds zero and tracks very well..the problem I have is the reticle its what is called the Lee floating dot or maybe premier dot and while I like it it is hard to see ...

Shot this buck on Nov. 17th with my Rossi .44 mag Puma, 75 yds. w/open sights, 240 gr. American Eagle JHP...field dressed 210# ... really really like this gun, with this load it will consistently hit a 20 oz. pop bottle at 100 yds w/open sights.
