I have read the Borax kills ants. If you pour it out to where they get it on their feet they take it back to the nest and it kills them too. Not sure if it is internet lore or not but here is the AI take on it. "Borax is a highly effective, slow-acting stomach poison for ants, typically killing...

Elmer, Skeeter, O'Conner, Nonte, etc., via Guns & Ammo, Shooting Times, Outdoor Life were my only mentors. A returning Vietnam Vet let me shoot his Honaker muzzleloader in 1970 and I was hooked on black powder. I had to learn everything from them and me. I do remember my mother bought me an &quo...

Remove the bullet backwards toward the breech to see if it slides out evenly without any loose spots to help detect a bulge. If you have to pound it out with a dowel all the way that would be good. As beautiful and well-made as they are, it always scares me that they may or may not cap jam on you. The last Uberti 51 Navy I bought did not cap jam. The last 1849 I bought in .31 caliber; cap jammed every time and needed work as every cap would blow down into the action. The "Everything Black...

So, in other words, you "harelipped" the guy LOL.

The "Link" on the post 64 model 94 Winchesters is the weak link of those guns in my humble opinion. The little cartridge stop (tit) on the end of it that holds and releases the cartridges from the magazine occasionally breaks off or wears to the point that it lets a cartridge loose from th...
