I am sorry for your loss and will be praying for you all.

I've only owned newer ones (mid 70s and newer), so all I know is rebounding hammers. That doesn't bother me so much as the tang safety. I'd like to get rid of that hideous eyesore.

Are you hunting with your levergun? If so, what caliber and load? I've been a pretty hardcore bowhunter in the past, but age and injuries are catching up to me. This fall I plan to at least hunt deer with my Win mod 94 in .30-30 with Rem 150gr. CLs. If I go after elk, I'll either step up to a 170gr....

Read it to my wife as she walked by. She got a good laugh out of it!
