Why not leave a small portion of the magnum case rim on the case and make an insert that remains in the cylinder. You can remove them with a brass cleaning brush if need be.

The third generation autos, 4006 etc., had a magazine disconnect. It wouldn't discharge when the trigger was pulled with the magazine removed, maybe they thought this would suffice. I removed that option on all of my autos.

I've had three transfer bars break on two different revolvers over the years. Ruger sent me replacements twice and replaced the revolver the second time it broke on one of the revolvers.

I had two break on my flattop 44 Ruger sent me the first one and I sent it back when the second one broke, they ended up replacing the revolver. I also had one break on a Vaquero years ago. I hadn't fired more than a box through each revolver when the pawl broke.

If your 375 was made prior to the change of ownership it has a barrel similar in size to the 94's in 30-30 and the larger barrels won't work. I ordered a 375 barrel from Numerich years ago and it was larger in diameter and had finer threads.

I would have to vote for the 9422. I have one that was plagued by occassional misfires until I made a new firing pin out of a Ruger 10/22 firing pin. The firing pin impression is as wide as the slot in the bolt and I haven't had a misfire since.

You will have to use a faster burning powder. I started out with Lil Gun and had squib loads also. Bullseye or something with the same burn rate will get you where you want to be.
