Sheltie or Aussie? I used to raise Australian Shepherds and think they are one of the best dogs around (Shelties are cool - just never had one).

Cable: Lovely photos. The sky and light remind me of the Puget Sound. Here in the Rogue Valley, the sun is harsh and the highs are still in the 90s. We have an Aussie (and a Brittany, and two little mutts). Your pup looks like a keeper. Our guys pick our raspberries, too. They're almost surgical about it, the clowns ...

Cupholders on a canoe?!! What is this world coming too! Nice country you got there. What kind of fish are in that lake?
Kirk: An old geezer who loves the smell of freshly turned earth, old cedar rail fences, wood smoke, a crackling fireplace on a snowy evening, pristine wilderness lakes, the scent of
cedars and a magnificent Whitetail buck framed in the semi-buckhorn sights of a 120-year old Winchester.

Shelties are wonderful!

Power canoes are too - put a 3-4 hp outboard (or an electric) on it and those things are really pleasant and useful.

Kirk, the lake has some trout, and did have an annual run of silver salmon, but after the 64 quake the outlet from this lake to the Little Susitna river, about a mile away, silted in,, like a lot of others did, now probably too shallow for the salmon. the good old Corps of Engineers is now in greenie mode and wont dredge that outlet to open it. we frequently see very large [over 24-30" ]fish jumping, but have not figured out where they are, and whether or not salmon are still forcing their way into the lake. we have only had this place a few years and are still figuring things out.
