Dang! Meanwhile, the "atmospheric river" nearly drowned my brother in Astoria.
Looking for sunny and near 70 here in southern NM today.

I wonder how many of those tractors are road-worthy after such rollovers...? Certainly any ordinary vehicle would pretty much be toast for the scrapyard after that.

I was passing through Wy once and experienced that! Got to where they closed the Hwy and waited. All the semi's in the parking lot were parked nose into the wind :shock:

bet most they didn't roll, just laid over.

I got a kick out of the tumbleweed fences that are along the road sides when driving through Wyoming.

Southwest Kansas is one of the windiest places in the U.S. I grew up thinking that Semis getting blown over was just a normal occurrence. 50 mph gusts was pretty normal. Dodge City, KS once had a year where wind speed never for one second went below 15 mph. The National Weather Service still has that as a record.
