The most telling comment is when they basically say that, if a conservative loses their life as a result of expressing an unpopular political opinion, it’s more or less to be expected and tolerated, if not cheered on. On the other hand if a liberal merely loses their job for expressing celebration of an assassination, that is a terrible social wrong.
I used to wonder how the Hitler Youth sprang up in Germany, and felt like it must be a bunch of poor kids, being intimidated into accepting violent, left-wing, dogma, but looking at today in the United States, it’s pretty easy to see how the Hitler Youth sprang up because so many young people now are in that exact same mindset…and it isn’t the ‘right-wingers’.
