Restocked a Marlin 36

Post by GunnyMack »

So back about mid-covid I managed to meet our Fordwannabe member at a central location ( I was shooting a Helice match).
Anyhow Tom had gotten his hands on a model 36 that had seen a lot of hard miles! At one point the wrist broke, some shade tree smith glued and screwed it back together and then pooped on enough varnish that the checkering was filled! Tom had found a semi inlet and a couple years of my neglecting it i finally got it inletted, shaped and sanded out. This past weekend we again met, this time at the bunker and I delivered it.
I've learned that my eyes, even with cheaters don't like up close detail work anymore!

Tom, I sure hope you forgive me for taking so long !
Ah, I see my helper Sage even got into the pic!

Yes Bill, that 36 just oozes class.
Sage doesn't miss a trick! She is sneaky too and always has to weasel her way into every project!
