Some stuff for the ladies (or any dudes who might wear dresses) on concealed carry.

I try to accumulate this kind of stuff to share with females (I see a lot of patients post-sexual-assault who are adults who have never been around guns but suddenly want to learn CCW-stuff).

More women would CCW if they had advice like this...

Never tried to conceal carry a female but it might be a good idea if you are one of the throw her and run crowd. Kinda like shooting your buddy in the knee when the bear gets after you.

Appendix carry and you will never need to pull it out.Eddie Southgate wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 2:21 pm Never tried to conceal carry a female but it might be a good idea if you are one of the throw her and run crowd. Kinda like shooting your buddy in the knee when the bear gets after you.![]()

Re: Female Concealed Carry Advice
My wife has been carrying since my youngest was a toddler. Long story short a guy tried to grab him out of his stroller. All 4' 11" and 90ish pounds of her went mama bear. He went to jail.
One of her early carry methods was a diaper bag. In fact she did that until my oldest risk live and limb by telling her she was "too old" to have a baby.
Another method that worked depending on styles at the time was ankle carry. Obviously only in pants. For dresses and skirts she does like a thigh holster. The "not being able to walk" part is simply a matter of familiarity and practice. You face the same gait issues when you first ankle carry.
Another viable option if a shoulder holster. My wife is amply endowed. A shoulder holster just disappears. It's often used with a fairly loose blouse. It's quite easy and fast to access by just lifting the blouse and reaching underneath. She has used different styles and has settled on the horizontal style.
Frankly, waist carry never really worked for her. Unless she wants to dress like a bag lady it conceals poorly. I should note that standing a small of the back holster can work. But sitting sucks.
There is the Flash Bang type bra holster that can work. But again loose fitting clothes are required. I've teared her that she could conceal Dirty Harry's model 29 this way.
One method she does like, and no one pays any attention to, is the "belly pack". A woman without a purse going about her day is pretty much not given a second look. This solves the being separated from her purse issues.
One thing about the video is that even with the disclaimer she is obviously a shill for one holster manufacturer.

I honestly believe my wife couldn’t shoot anyone. She’s probably a much better person than I am.
But I would never try to carry her concealed.
